Job Description
The Warehouse Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to inventory management, order processing, and general warehouse maintenance. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse team will contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Receive incoming shipments, unload and inspect materials for quality and accuracy.
Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations following proper inventory management procedures.
Perform regular stock checks, identify discrepancies, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure proper stock rotation and adherence to inventory control practices.
Order Processing and Fulfillment:
Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment to meet customer requirements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders, verifying quantities and product specifications.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to prioritize and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks for outbound and inbound shipments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient order processing.
Equipment and Material Handling:
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, following proper safety procedures and guidelines.
Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and staging of materials as required.
Perform regular equipment inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist in maintaining an organized and accessible layout of warehouse materials and supplies.
Warehouse Maintenance and Organization:
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, including sweeping, removing debris, and organizing storage areas.
Perform general maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and maintaining warehouse equipment.
Assist in maintaining warehouse security by properly securing doors, gates, and other access points.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to implement 5S principles and maintain a safe working environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in warehouse operations is a plus).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Team player attitude is a must.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to warehouse operations.
