About Us: Cambridge Investment Research Inc. is one of the nation’s top independent financial solutions firms. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment where innovation, collaboration, and growth are encouraged. Our team is dedicated to driving success and creating a workplace where every employee feels valued and empowered.

About the Role:

At Cambridge, we don’t just build technology—we empower financial professionals to deliver exceptional experiences to their clients. We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Salesforce Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-impact Salesforce solutions. In this hybrid role, you’ll drive architectural strategy while staying close to the code—balancing vision with execution to solve complex problems and unlock business value.

You’ll work at the intersection of innovation and impact—collaborating with business leaders, product owners, and engineers to shape the future of our enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This isn’t a hands-off architect role. You’ll own the roadmap, influence direction, guide technical teams, and bring bold ideas to life through smart, scalable design.

Ideal candidates are technical experts with a passion for problem-solving, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to speak up, lead discussions, and mentor others. If you're ready to build, innovate, and make your mark—this is your opportunity to shape what’s next.

Why Cambridge?

At Cambridge, we’re not just leveraging data—we’re transforming it into insights that propel our company forward. You’ll have the ability to innovate and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the future of the company. Join us, and be part of something wonderful.

Essential Duties:

As a key member of our Salesforce team, you’ll:

  • Drive the overall Salesforce architecture and infrastructure strategy, identifying gaps and designing solutions that scale with the business.

  • Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions aligned to organizational goals using Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and other platform tools.

  • Lead the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems to ensure secure, seamless data flow and high system performance.

  • Partner with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to define technical requirements and contribute to the long-term Salesforce roadmap.

  • Oversee and contribute to the customization and configuration of Salesforce, ensuring alignment with compliance and security standards.

  • Mentor junior developers and administrators, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and help drive iterative value delivery using Agile and LeSS methodologies.

  • Remain current on Salesforce trends, development practices, and platform advancements to proactively inform architecture decisions.

  • Ensure all code and configurations are clean, secure, testable, and maintainable; support automated testing efforts to maintain quality.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have an advanced level of experience in Salesforce data models, security architecture and best practices. Experience with Salesforce platform development including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL, and Flow is strongly desired.

Certificates & Licenses:
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer, or Architect certification desired.
A commitment to pursuing these certifications is also welcome!

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries.

  • Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud.

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. The actual pay offered to a specific candidate may vary above or below the stated range.
