JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Assistant plays a key role in capturing and creating engaging content for Monarch Mountain. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, this position focuses on on-mountain photography, videography, and social media coverage. The ideal candidate is passionate about content creation, skilled in visual storytelling, and able to represent Monarch’s brand effectively through social media and other platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors and wants to gain experience in content-driven marketing.
The person in this position must be able to ski or snowboard, have strong photography, videography, and social media skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should be familiar with basic editing software and social media management tools. Flexibility in scheduling is required to capture content during different times of the day and during events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Capture high-quality on-mountain photography and video footage that highlights the unique experiences at Monarch Mountain.
- Assist in creating engaging content for Monarch's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to drive engagement and showcase current mountain conditions, events, and guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop content strategies that align with Monarch’s brand and objectives.
- Help with on-the-ground coverage during events, providing real-time social media updates and capturing memorable moments.
- Edit and upload photos and videos to Monarch's photo library.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns, focusing on visuals and content creation to drive engagement.
- Maintain and organize Monarch's digital content library (photos and videos) for future use in marketing materials.
- Be available for various projects and duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager, Event Manager, or Marketing Office Admin Manager.

- Be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, and Adobe Photoshop – Adobe Illustrator preferred.

- Be dependable, punctual and highly reliable.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality of all customer information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires the ability to work any day of the week, Saturday through Friday and holidays, and overtime if necessary, as agreed upon by your superior.
- Requires working at high elevation (over 10,000’), and with some exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, strong winds and intense sun.
- Requires standing and walking on uneven, slippery surfaces, stretching, reaching, grasping and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Requires sitting and working at a computer for long periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Compensation: Begins at $20 per hour, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience/length of service.
