Overview
This position is hybrid and requires 3 to 4 days of onsite workdays.
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
The Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting is responsible for all supply chain sourcing and contracting operations throughout D-HH in accordance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of D-HH’s contract and strategic sourcing activities. Responsible for developing sourcing, contracting and negotiation strategies, contract lifecycle management, expense reduction strategies, and strategic supplier partnerships while aligning with organizational goals, compliance requirements and patient care standards. Serves as advisor to leadership and other D-HH stakeholders regarding major and/or critical contracts. Works closely contract owners to review business term of contracts and closely with the Office of General Counsel to identify and assess risk, as well as developing risk mitigation strategies. Manages the activities of the supply chain contracting team. Supports NEAH by negotiating local and regional contracts and informing NEAH members what is available to them.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, business or a related field required.
- JD Preferred
- Five (5) years of directly applicable contracting and sourcing leadership experience required.
- 10 plus years of progressive experience in supply chain, preferably within a healthcare system.
- Five (5) years of experience and demonstrated skills in leadership or a managerial role.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of sourcing and contract management processes.
- Proven experience in complex contract negotiations, vendor management, and category strategy development.
- Familiarity with GPOs, value analysis processes, and clinical product standardization.
- Ability to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Ability to effect and manage change agents.
- Motivational and visionary leadership skills, including the ability to recognize and develop emerging leadership talent.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and oral) and possess the necessary interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with various levels of management.
- Strong and effective negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify and act upon business opportunities.
- Broad knowledge of the health care industry, health care policy and regulation, finance, compliance, and legal requirements.
- Proficient in ERP/MMIS systems and contract management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
