The Marketplace Expansion Manager supports Pattern's go-to-market (GTM) strategy, driving expansions into new marketplaces within the US, CAN, UK, EU and LATAM. The role involves evaluating the potential value and assessing the functionality of new marketplaces. This is a full time role that works a hybrid schedule (60% in office each week) based in Lehi, Utah.
What is a day in the life of a Marketplace Expansion Manager?
Support Pattern’s GTM strategy by identifying and driving expansion opportunities into new marketplaces across the US, EU, UK, Canada, and LATAM regions.
Conduct market research and financial analysis to evaluate the potential value, profitability, and strategic fit of prospective marketplaces.
Assess operational and technical functionality of target marketplaces, including onboarding requirements, compliance standards, and integration needs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, product, onboarding, operations, and legal teams to align on launch strategies and execution plans.
Develop financial models to forecast gross merchandise value (GMV) and measure potential ROI for new marketplace initiatives.
Maintain clear documentation and reporting on marketplace evaluations, launch progress, and post-launch performance metrics.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Experience in finance, business strategy, marketplace operations, or a related analytical role
Familiarity with eCommerce marketplaces and their operational frameworks
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Outstanding analytical and data management skills
Self-motivated and proactive

What is the team like?
You will work with Marketplace Managers and be supervised by the Associate Director of Marketplaces. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will also collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams—including finance, onboarding, product, and operations to ensure alignment on go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
