SUMMARY:This quality engineering position is responsible for manufacturing line quality support. Areas of focus include quality improvement, customer satisfaction, project support, and ensuring product conformance to specification and performance standards. Collaborate with team members in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to persuasively sell continuous improvement ideas.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Possess ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDrive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solvingOwning the quality metrics of the responsible areaExperience with PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, DMAICExpertise in both using and coaching others in approachesStrong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principlesDocument control, product and process qualification, and audit processesError Proofing, Eyes for Waste, Visual ManagementAbility to gather and analyze data through statistical techniques.Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans and work instructions.Developing process validation plans and documenting resultsApproving engineering change requests or PLM’sLead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.Usage of computer software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities.Provides quality assurance support to ensure that the products produced are met with quality requirements defined by the company to both internal and external customersQUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:BS degree in Engineering or Technology1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environment requiredFunctional AutoCAD skills and geometric tolerancingKnowledge of PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principlesWorking knowledge of measurement tools and systemsASQ CQE/CSSGB/CSSBB preferredCOMPENSATION:Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
