Xactra Technologies is looking for a CNC Turning and Milling Setup/Operator to add to our 2nd shift staff. Xactra Technologies has been in business for 43 years and is a high-performance manufacturing facility supplying custom, high-precision mechanical components and assemblies to the optical industry.

2nd shift runs Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2 am, with overtime available on Friday from 11 am to 4 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate Multi-Axis Mill Turns and or Vertical/Horizontal Milling Machines.
- Load fixture in the machine with blank parts to be machined or a machined part for one (1) of the part-specific operations, which would be noted on the job router.
- Utilize measuring devices to accurately measure part characteristics to ensure they meet within part conformance requirements, and document measurements on inspection documents.
- Seek supervisory help if the machine fails, or measurements get completely outside limits.
- Document on router production, quality & scrap counts daily.
- Check to make sure the Coolant or Oil levels are at the proper function levels.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- CNC machining experience in turning or milling.
- Optical Industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read GD&T Code
- Ability to use all measuring tools.
- Materials experience: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Plastics.
- Set up experience is a huge plus, which would come with a higher rate of pay.
