The Immunology Program at the is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cell Therapies Senior Group Leader to lead our multidisciplinary team in the research, development, and optimization of advanced cell-based therapies. Reporting to , this leadership role is critical to driving innovation and will be focused on advancing the understanding and application of cell therapy platforms, including but not limited to understanding how innate immune cells—particularly dendritic cells (DCs), natural killer (NK) cells, and innate lymphoid cells (ILCs). Ideal candidate should possess unique blend of scientific expertise, translational biology knowledge, and strategic leadership experience. The candidate for this role should have a strong background in molecular biology, immunology, or biomedical engineering, along with a deep understanding of the scientific principles and technologies behind cell therapies, such as stem cell biology, gene editing, and tissue engineering. Prospective applicants should have made significant contributions to their area of study, as evidenced by a strong publication record. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the design, execution, and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo studies for development and translation of novel cell-based therapies Facilitate the development of autologous and allogeneic studies for development of cell therapiesRecruit, supervise, and mentor scientists at various levels, in partnership with Broad Institute membersPublish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national/international conferencesWrite grant proposals, provide oversight in the management of grant proposals, renewals, and progress reportsIdentify collaborators, technologies, and analyses to further develop cell therapiesApply for and secure funding from federal agencies, foundations and industry partnersOversee progress of grants to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met REQUIREMENTSPh.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology or a related biomedical fieldAt least 15 years’ experience designing and supervising basic, translational, and/or preclinical studies relevant to cell therapy development.Experience managing or mentoring a team with demonstrated leadership skillsA solid record of publishing in high-impact research in peer-reviewed journalsAbility to clearly communicate scientific material, efficiently manage time, and work collaboratively
