Responsibilities
- Primary party responsible for biologic therapy prior authorizations and all other medication therapies, prescribed by SGI providers, requiring prior authorization.
- Completing patient assistance and coordinating resulting medication deliveries with the patient(s) or their caregiver(s).
- Completing all FMLA and/or Disability paperwork with patients seen by an SGI provider, in accordance with the organization policies and procedures.
- Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the organization.
- Possesses excellent communication skills and actively encourages and participates in teamwork.
- Effectively and respectfully communicates with other departments of the office via all methods.
- Demonstrates gastrointestinal related knowledge and appropriately apples knowledge to patient care.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as computer/electronic medical record system skills.
- Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
- Independently completes assignments in a timely manner.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- Maintains active LPN license for the state of Georgia
- Maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
