Responsibilities 

• Primary party responsible for biologic therapy prior authorizations and all other medication therapies, prescribed by SGI providers, requiring prior authorization. 
• Completing patient assistance and coordinating resulting medication deliveries with the patient(s) or their caregiver(s). 
• Completing all FMLA and/or Disability paperwork with patients seen by an SGI provider, in accordance with the organization policies and procedures.  
• Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the organization. 
• Possesses excellent communication skills and actively encourages and participates in teamwork.  
• Effectively and respectfully communicates with other departments of the office via all methods.  
• Demonstrates gastrointestinal related knowledge and appropriately apples knowledge to patient care.  
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as computer/electronic medical record system skills.  
• Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to unpredictable situations within the work setting.  
• Independently completes assignments in a timely manner.  

Requirements

Education and Qualifications 

• Maintains active LPN license for the state of Georgia 
• Maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
