Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble and test high quality, high reliability structural components
- Perform verifications of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise and complete manner
- Improve processes to enable automated acceptance testing
- Respond to production related non-conformances and drive to root cause and disposition
- Maintain process planning documents and action feedback when necessary
- Perform maintenance and calibration activities for automated acceptance testing equipment
- Hand drilling, match drilling, step drilling, tapping, countersinking, and chamfering using pneumatic drills and hand tools
- Install fasteners (Hi-Loks, nuts, bolts, etc.), safety cable, inserts, use clecos, and bucking bars
- Provide training and guidance to other technicians
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Demonstrated experience of developing manufacturing processes from scratch
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
- 6+ years' of demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems with structural components and implement scrappy solutions
- Demonstrated experience with drilling, reaming, countersinking tight-tolerance holes using electric or pneumatic tools
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or related field
- 8+ years' of demonstrated hands-on manufacturing experience within aerospace or related industry
- Previous experience working within a start-up
- Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
