Job Description:
The Role
As a Vice President, this individual will lead the FFIO Program Management Center of Excellence to develop, grow, and lead the program management practice that focuses on the execution of strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will have dual responsibilities of running business programs. While leading business programs, you will be responsible for coordinating the definition and establishing the structure and governance of the Program, its MVP and business case, and when approved, help facilitate the program’s implementation. This individual will work closely with program executive sponsors and Product Area Leaders to ensure that the programs stay on track and deliver outstanding results. This individual will report into the Head of Business Enablement and Strategy.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree a plus
10-15+ years of financial services experience
Deep understanding of the asset management industry as well as knowledge of FFIO’s businesses preferred
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships across the organization
Previous consulting experience a plus
Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams are a must
Experienced individual with a solid ability to work across an organization at the senior level
Proven experience leading and delivering results on large programs and projects
Track record of success managing a practice, client relationships and staff
Solid organizational skills and a high degree of integrity combined with the ability to readily adapt to rapidly changing environments and deal with competing priorities
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think through problems, assess a variety of factors and recommend solutions
High leadership potential and a high degree of comfort with ambiguity
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with specific strengths in communicating with senior internal leadership
Ability to perform operational and administrative program management responsibilities such as metrics collection, status reporting and financial updates
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
Strong attention to detail as well as effective time management abilities
Experience working across organizations to bring disparate teams together
Strong management, influence, facilitation, and collaboration skills
Drive the continual design and improvement of Program Management
Develop and mentor staff to reach their highest potential
Partner with FFIO business leaders to ensure alignment with and drive execution of business priorities
Communicate program status updates to senior leadership and key business partners
Partner with FFIO and cross-Fidelity business units to develop the business case for their key priorities
Program and/or project manage key FFIO and cross-Fidelity programs
Facilitate regularly scheduled program status and work stream meetings
Maintain program-level issues and open questions logs for accurate tracking, reporting, and bringing to closure
Identify and coordinate cross-Product Area and cross-Fidelity dependencies and interaction points that may be impactful to the overall critical path
Schedule and run senior executive program meetings
Liaise with program executive sponsors to ensure continued alignment with program’s objectives, schedule, and budget
The Team
The Fidelity Funds and Investment Operations (FFIO) Program Management team provides program and project management to both FFIO and cross-Fidelity sponsored programs. The team is part of the Business Enablement and Strategy function that provides relationship management support, custody bank oversight, delivery enablement, strategy and planning, and business management for all FFIO.
