JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting payments and documenting within the ERP system. This position is responsible for communicating with customers regarding account balances.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Contact customers for collection of past due amounts and work with customer A/P to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
- Verify customer contract and PO against invoice for accuracy and customer terms and conditions.
- Monitor A/R aging reports with attention to maintaining a desirable DSO monthly average.
- Reconcile period end A/R Aging Report to customer statement.
- Maintain accurate databases for all customer accounts.
- Communicate with customers, providing new and upcoming balances.
- Problem-solve collection issues relating to product – provide liaison between sales and customer.
- Provide customer account offsets and adjustments to supervisor or Cash Application Specialist.
- Input invoices into customer portals for required customers.
- Mail/Email invoices to customers as required by contract.
- Work with customer service team on customer accounts.
- Advise supervisor of customer payment problems.
- Provide updates to customers for proof of delivery or shipping documents.
- Serve as backup to the Resolution Desk Specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience Years: 1-3 years
- Experience Type: Accounting OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel); Web proficiency
- Experience with ERP system
- Ability to analyze reports and discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional computer skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid M/W/F-Remote/// T&Th Office Based/// M-Th 9 hour shifts, Friday-4 hour shift
