Ruder Finn is seeking a dynamic Senior Account Supervisor (SAS) with strong public affairs and government relations experience to join our growing RF Relate team. This individual will bring a strategic understanding of the policy landscape, media relations, and stakeholder engagement particularly at the federal level and will support clients navigating issues across a variety of vertical industries including energy, technology, and health. This SAS will demonstrate strong relationships and experience across Capitol Hill.
As a Senior Account Supervisor, you will be a critical part of a fast-growing team whose award-winning work is helping clients find creative ways to tell meaningful stories within the public affairs space. You will help clients across a range of industries shape and manage their advocacy platforms, policy communications, and public positioning on key regulatory and legislative issues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic counsel to current and prospective clients and oversee day-to-day account management for public affairs focused work
Translate complex policy issues into compelling messaging and communications strategies to persuade stakeholders, grow coalitions and support your clients at the state and federal levels
Monitor legislation, regulatory activity, and political trends that may impact client priorities
Develop and execute integrated campaigns that include media relations, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership
Build and maintain relationships with key media and political influencers
Support the development of new business proposals and participate in pitch presentations
Qualifications
A minimum of 6+ years of experience in public affairs at a PR agency or in a communications role within politics/government
Deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory process and public policy landscape at the federal and state level
Proven experience managing multiple workstreams and delivering high-quality client service
Relationships with and an ability to work with administrations across both sides of the aisle
Strong writing, presentation, and media relations skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Interest in policy, advocacy, and social impact issues

The anticipated salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $95,000 – $120,000. The salary of the applicant selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, internal equity, geography, relevant years of experience, certifications, skills, abilities of the selected applicant, and other job-related qualifications. In addition, a range of medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available by the company.
