Reporting into Regional Executive Chef North America, the Senior Hospitality Manager will be responsible for executing the global hospitality standards for the North American Region, and leading customer-facing events in the region. The Senior Hospitality Manager will coordinate with all Gate Gourmet operations-based hospitality ambassadors within the region on any required events. This position oversees any guest visits to the regional Headquarters in Reston, ensuring a seamless guest experience and displaying gategroup’s expertise and values.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

  • $120,000 - $125,000 Per Year

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage regional customer facing events in line with the gategroup Guest Experience Standards, ensuring that all standards are always met and guest expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee customer-facing events in our region’s units, working closely with our Guest Experience Ambassadors to ensure that all standards are consistently met.
  • Manage communication and service level agreements with key areas within the region (Gate Gourmet) for the implementation of standards and guidelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee the visits of global and regional senior leadership and external guests to the regions Headquarters in Reston and regional units, from planning, set-up and coordinating operation, thus ensuring a flawless, professional and high-end guest experience.
  • Oversee the complete journey of customers/guests, ensuring maximum delivery and high-end service.
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of daily logistics related to external guest meetings and events with functional heads and culinary team.
  • Run pro-active audits of events in the regional Gate Gourmet units, ensuring that standards during customer-facing interactions are met, and providing guidance and trainings where needed.
  • Manage and oversee budget for customer-facing events.
  • Coordination of local event details into structured briefings, leading briefings with the broader teams and ensuring a high-level hospitality experience.
  • Responsible for budgeting and monitoring hospitality-related event expenses.
  • Conduct monthly and post-event cost analyses to the Regional Executive Chef, North America.
  • Handle contractors and contracts of external providers.
  • In addition, the Senior Hospitality Manager will also support the Customer Experience team and Group Hospitality Manager in selected regional projects, as well as collaborate with the gategroup Guest Experience standardization process and implementation, and doing on-site trainings as required.
  • Coordinate and support VVIP charter flights catering as required.


Education and Work Experience:

  • A bachelor
    ’s degree in hospitality or event management is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in hospitality/event management; previous experience within a corporate environment, Culinary and Hotel Management are a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders from all management levels.
  • Well-organized; Works well under pressure and within tight and ever-changing deadlines
  • Must be able to adjust and/or resolve ever-changing and last-minute arrangements and requests of events/functions
  • Proven experience in guest relations management
  • Hospitality mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Impeccable and professional appearance

Language / Communication Skills:
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in other languages is a plus.
