Salary Range: $62000 - $72000 Per Year

Major Duties:
- Manages multiple indoors and outdoors pools and provides overall supervision of the aquatic programs. Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management in order to meet all activity needs.
- Plans and coordinates details for aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs. Plans and establishes an aquatic certification curriculum and other safety, fitness and recreational certification and educational programming.
- Establishes and executes processes to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Plans and evaluates program objectives from the standpoint of participant response and resources. Adapts and varies the aquatic program in light of findings.
- Responsible for NAF budget for assigned facilities and programs. Prepares the annual quarterly and monthly budget input. Provides timely reports to Director and CRD Chief. Purchases required materials, equipment, safety and rescue equipment etc.
- Develops and updates the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies. Plans and executes data collection for the DOD and DA MWR standard reports.
Qualifications: 1. Possesses demonstrated experience in planning, administering and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.(An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology may be substituted for six (6) months of the required work experience.) 2. Ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment, and maintain, the following certifications: -American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid -CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED -Lifeguard Instructor (Red Cross) -Water Safety Instructor (Red Cross) -Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (Red Cross or installation offered training) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty. Highly Desirable: -Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (Red Cross) -Water Safety Instructor Trainer (Red Cross) -Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair); -Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification or Aquatic Exercise Association Instructor;-Adapted Aquatics Instructor NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and assessment/questionnaire.
