A Typical Day:
- Manage approved purchase requests (PRs) and create purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in item structure, supplier details, and appropriate tax and delivery instructions.
- Analyze and close identified POs, liaise with suppliers, and ensure compliance with documentation and policies.
- Resolve invoice holds promptly and identify opportunities for process improvements in workflows and tools.
- Initiate and support supplier requests, ensuring alignment with category strategies and compliance with supplier onboarding processes.
- Maintain and update supplier records in systems like Oracle and SharePoint, ensuring accuracy and avoiding duplication.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to gather necessary information and approvals for vendor maintenance activities.
- Conduct special projects related to supplier onboarding and provide regular reports and professional documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively to escalate procurement-related issues and provide thorough support to procurement needs.

To Be Considered:
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in procurement, accounts payable, or a similar financial management role, preferably within a multinational organization. You should be proficient in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools. A strong understanding of procurement-to-payment processes, policies, and procedures is essential. Business-level English and native-level Japanese proficiency are required. Experience in driving improvements in ambiguous environments is highly valued.
