Overview:
Join Wellstar MCG Health’s nationally recognized Neurocritical Care team in our state-of-the-art 20-bed Neuro ICU, the only dedicated unit of its kind in the region. We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to help deliver specialized care for patients with complex neurocritical illnesses, including traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, post-operative neurosurgery, and other high-acuity neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care management to critically ill neurology and neurosurgery patients

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, order/interpreter diagnostics, and manage treatment plans in collaboration with neurointensivists and neurosurgeons

• Perform and assist with procedures (central lines, arterial lines, intubation as credentialed)

• Actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds

• Maintain high-level communication with nursing, pharmacy, and care teams

• Provide education to patients, families, and support training of medical students and residents

• Participate in quality and safety initiatives within the ICU

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support
• NP - Nurse Practitioner
• CNP - Cert Nurse Practitioner
• PA - Physician Asst
• RN-Compact or RN - Reg Nurse (Single State)
