Pure Power is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Applications Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be maintaining and enhancing our suite of C# add-on applications that integrate with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of AutoCAD as well as a strong foundation in the principles of object-oriented analysis and design, and a passion for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate should be a skilled developer, researcher, and communicator. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, with a focus on building well-designed and reliable solutions.

As a full-service engineering firm, we create the electrical and structural drawings and calculation packages for bidding, permits, and construction, as well as supporting the lead up to the full engineering drawings, primarily interconnection support and electrical/structural feasibility studies.

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions. 
  • Use Visual Studio to develop, test, and maintain software add-on applications for AutoCAD and other products in C#. 
  • Work with Azure DevOps and Git for source control and backlog management. 
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure performance and reliability. 
  • Implement and maintain software applications following best practices and coding standards. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues. 
  • Document software designs, code, and processes. 
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. 
  • Apply your experience and the principles of object-oriented analysis and design to recommend architectural changes to improve the performance, readability, and reuse of existing code. 
  • Recommend improvements to DevOps processes and practices. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in software development, AutoCAD automation, DevOps practices, artificial intelligence, and engineering software.  
  • Other tasks as assigned. 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience building C# or C++ applications for AutoCAD 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field. 
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented analysis and design principles, design patterns, and algorithms. 
  • Advanced proficiency in C#, LINQ, WinForms, and WPF. 
  • Familiarity with C++ and ObjectARX is preferred. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Azure DevOps, and Git is preferred. 

 

Location

This position will be based out of our exciting downtown Hoboken, NJ Headquarters with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule. We are next to public transportation options from NYC and Northern NJ. We also provide a parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office and for those that utilize public transportation, we will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the office.


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000
