What You Will Be Doing: RegEd seeks a product manager to manage product lifecycles of SaaS-based solutions within RegEd's Enterprise Compliance Management portfolio. As a product manager, you will be responsible for increasing adoption, growing revenue, increasing profit and enhancing customer satisfaction. You must possess a blend of business and technical savvy, customer evangelism, pragmatic decision making, a big-picture vision and the execution talent to make that vision a reality. You will lead the product lifecycle from strategic planning and requirements definition to release management and go-to-market execution.In addition, this position serves at the product owner and will handle the end-to-end management of the requirements process by acting as a liaison between Product Management leadership, Development teams and third-party contractors, gathering and writing user stories for new enhancements, prioritizing product backlogs and project coordination of development and QA release cycles across RegEd's Enterprise Compliance Management platform. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of agile Product Owner skills, the ability to derive concept-to-code through technical specifications and authoring User Story/Uses Cases, and experience in Agile Delivery Management, preferably in a relatable regulatory or compliance field. This person will work closely with the agile Development and QA teams to deliver and release product features, enhancements and resolve issues, pre-and post- production release.You must enjoy spending time in the market understanding client issues and developing innovative solutions to drive the product roadmap. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, from aiding sales engagements to collaborating with implementation teams. You will work closely with development teams, representing customer requirements and rationalizing market needs to successfully deliver roadmap priorities. You will coordinate the planning and launch execution of exciting new products as well as coordinate releases refreshes to enhance existing products. You should have exceptional communications skills, strong creative writing talents and a technical aptitude for enterprise solutions. The product has its roots in state and federal financial services legislation; familiarity with this space and knowledge of a SaaS-based business model will be a plus. Responsibilities:
  • Manage product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Balance long-term and short-term roadmap needs, including supporting technology initiatives to scale, secure and innovate within the product line
  • Specify user and market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers
  • Make recommendations using appropriate business filters including revenue, profit and market potential for new market opportunities, product extensions, new products, product retirements or buy/build/partner activities
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans, marketing campaigns, working with all departments to execute
  • Play a key role in supporting sales engagements, including prospect requirements analysis, product demonstrations, pricing, RFI responses, proposal reviews and contract reviews
  • Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and help to develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
  • Develop sound, value-based pricing models, positioning and sales collateral strategies to maximize revenue and market penetration
  • Develop business requirements documentation for business analysts, development teams and quality assurance, and coordinate releases
  • Collaborate closely with external clients and internal stakeholders to define, launch and enhance RegEd's SaaS products and solutions
  • Translate client needs and business requirements into detailed, actionable user stories, collaborating closely with onshore and offshore agile development and QA teams
  • Define, scope and prioritize tickets in the backlog, directing and guiding Engineering to plan meaningful scheduled releases
  • Work with relationship teams to create statements of work for client-specific feature enhancements
  • Troubleshoot inbound technical support requests and production issues for internal teams including Product Support, Implementation and Relationship Management
  • Maintain product support collateral such as user guides, release notes and functional requirements documents
  • Work with implementation and service teams to establish processes for implementation and ongoing maintenance of the product
  • Keep current regulatory, industry and market changes impacting the product
  • Support RegEd at trade shows, conferences, industry events and customer advisory boards
You’ve Got What It Takes If You:
  • Proven ability to translate ideas and vision into product definition and technical written user and functional business requirements
  • Experience with Agile Epic and User Story authoring, requirements gathering, and backlog grooming
  • Experience with creating process flow charts, wireframes, and mockups (using tools such as Balsamiq, Visio, PowerPoint, Bootstrap, and Figma)
  • Experience working with release planning, working with development teams and using SDLC tools (such as JIRA, Fogbugz, or SpiraTeam)
  • Experience working with sales teams on RFP/RFI bid responses and pricing guidance
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with client and engineering teams, a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and fact-based decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Aha, Microsoft Suite
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
  • 7+ years’ experience in “full life cycle” product management including market research, business requirements development, competitive analysis, new product launches, including development of business and functional requirements, development of strategic product plans, go-to-market plans, product launch plans, product marketing plans and sales programs to B2B software/SaaS solutions
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or related experience with software product management, implementation, or SaaS project management
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of the financial services/securities and/or insurance industry is a plus.
  • Product Management Certificate is desirable
  • Experience in SaaS, regulatory software, product, project or implementation management
  • Experience with UI/UX
  • Experience with big data, business intelligence, data analytics, or data integrations

RegEd's compensation package is based on each candidate's unique skills, qualifications and experience.
