Salary Range : $77,100 - $115,700 AnnualJob DetailsThe stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuarial Assistant, Traditional Life Valuation, to perform valuation and reporting activities for traditional life insurance. Additionally, the position is part of an actuarial student program that will require progression on exams and progress through the actuarial educational system.As an Actuarial Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual LDTI GAAP, statutory and tax valuations
• Assist in preparing annual statement exhibits and schedules
• Suggest and execute process efficiencies
• Providing reports and analysis for actuarial managers
• Delivering clear and efficient communication of technical work
• Prioritize and execute work on multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner
• Pursuing successful completion of actuarial exams

The Actuarial Assistant position is well-suited for you if you:

• Are proficient in Excel and other Office applications
• Demonstrate general understanding of one or more programming languages
• Exhibit a strong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations
• Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
• Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Shows understanding of insurance business, products and regulatory environments

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or another related field
• One year of experience in the actuarial field
• Completion of at least three exams

What will set you apart:

• Experience with SAS or SQL
• Experience with PolySystems or other actuarial valuation software
• Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone
