Our unique antibody engineering technologies combined with the complementary expertise of our people enabled us to build a clinical-stage portfolio of novel product candidates – tailored from discovery through development to address patient needs.The Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics group (QCP²) is looking for an enthusiastic scientist, to develop and apply physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling, implementing innovative and quantitative approaches to advance drug development. The ideal candidate will have strong background in pharmacokinetics of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. The position is responsible for the development and validation of physiologically based pharmacokinetic models. activities related to the research, design, implementation, data analysis, interpretation, reporting, and publication of studies for products in any phase of development.. The position will be located in any of our affiliations in Ghent (Belgium).Your Role

  • Expert PBPK modeler to provide modeling support for drug discovery and development projects
  • Ability to interpret and communicate modeling results and potential impact to project teams
  • Keep up to date with emerging literature, modeling science
  • Maintains liaisons within and outside the organization. Represents the organization on scientific matters within the worldwide scientific community.
  • Identifies opportunities and ways to address drug development questions/issues.
Desired Skills, Qualifications And Experience
  • PhD or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering or Biological Sciences.
  • In-depth knowledge of pre-clinical and clinical PK/PD and Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships inside and outside the department; ability and willingness to work in a cross-functional team environment (building strategic working relationships).
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner (planning, organizing and time management)
  • Ability to translate creative and innovative approaches into the solution of problems and the timely advancement of projects
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision (personal accountability)
