Homeoffice Python Developer

Location: Abuja, Nigeria [Remote]

Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Paid)

We are looking for a talented and passionate Python Engineer to join our development team. As a Python Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining back-end services and systems. You will work closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot any issues across the system.
• Build and integrate APIs to facilitate seamless communication between various systems and services.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Continuously improve the development process and stay current with new technologies and Python-related frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Python Engineer, Back-end Developer, or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of its libraries and frameworks.
• Experience building and consuming APIs, as well as integrating with third-party services.
• Familiarity with database systems and data modeling concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code for performance and scalability.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, or microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and how they interact with back-end systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies and deployment strategies.
