Are you a qualified Accountant with analytical and business partnering experience looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive on working within an innovative and changing environment?

If so, you might be interested in our new Reporting Analyst role based within our Finance team. This brand-new role is wide ranging and will join us during a period of growth on our journey to becoming a leading brand within the pet insurance market.

Package: Up to £46,800 with excellent benefits including 25 holiday days (plus your birthday off) private medical insurance and pet insurance discount.

Location and hours: This is a full-time role 37.5 hours and We can accommodate fully remote within the UK, or hybrid working arrangements, although we like to meet up as a team occasionally and it would be nice if you can join us (although this isn’t a deal breaker)!

What you`ll get up to as Reporting Analyst

To give you an idea what to expect, you`ll be:

  • Month-end close process support- analysis, reconciliation and posting of journals.
  • Partnering business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, performing variance analysis and forward-looking commentary
  • Preparation of financial reports, modelling and presentations
  • Optimise and streamline reporting processes, underlying data integrity, ensuring accurate data management and consistency of reports
  • Supporting the alignment of metrics, and interpretation across the business and the PPG Group
  • Analysis to support business decision making, evaluation of key metrics and project performance
  • Ownership of continuous improvement in processes and adaptability to changing requirements
  • Support budget and forecast processes through analysis, team collaboration and timely delivery
  • Partnering the wider business to drive a strong control environment
  • Support internal / external audit and regulatory processes
  • Our customers are the heart of everything we do and, as a key part of your role, we would expect you to champion our customers to ensure that you and our teams deliver good outcomes for them and their pet

What We Look For In You

  • Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration
  • Accuracy and detail orientated
  • Organisation skills, timely delivery and flexible with re-prioritisation
  • Experienced in data management
  • Process improvement and change management
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Power BI and Sage Intacct
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desirable: Financial Services industry background, ideally Insurance
  • Desirable: Prior experience of working in a Private Equity backed business
  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
