Position Summary

Your Day-to-Day

Competitor analysis and insight generation

• Work with the MI director to develop a structured MI insights program and drive the delivery of the program within the business.
• Use both primary and secondary data sources to produce insights that inform business decisions related to product development, sales enablement, and marketing-related communication.
• Monitor key players in the industry alongside industry influencers to determine the likely future direction of competitor focus.
• Deliver regular reports and updates back throughout the business with a focus on actionable outcomes.
• Work with key stakeholders to understand the strengths and weaknesses of our own product in relation to our key competitors.
• Monitor external market factors and trends that could impact how our solutions are sold and consumed.
• Collaborate with the wider Market Intelligence function to combine competitor analysis with industry insight to build a comprehensive picture of the shape of our market.
  
  

Stakeholder engagement

• Support the Market Intelligence Director with internal and external stakeholder engagement to define requirements and project priorities.
• Provide ongoing updates to stakeholders on progress and risks.
• Develop communications streams back through the business.
  
  

What You Bring To The Team

This role involves having the following key skills and competencies, namely:

• Proven competitive analysis experience (at least 5 years) with past roles relatable to Market and or Competitive Intelligence.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative, communicative, and confident.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work and able to prioritise your workload.
• Deal with concepts and complexity comfortably and capable of managing expectations and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
• Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc) with experience in PowerBI and Snowflake are desirable.
• Past experience working with Competitive Intelligence platforms such as Valona (M-Brain), Crayon, and CB Insights is desirable.
