Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced Travel Consultant to join our Travel team on a fixed term contract within the Group Finance team for 12 months - part-time, 3 days a week.

In this role, you will provide a seamless travel service to all GHD Management and staff whilst ensuring we deliver information on travel, costs, logistics, visa requirements, travel safety information and insurance in accordance with the GHD Travel Policy.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you:

  • Book all international and domestic travel for all Regions, regional and project offices.
  • Provide quotes for vehicles, flights, accommodation, etc for proposals.
  • Always maximise potential travel savings, whilst advising travellers on the most suitable and safe products available.
  • Document/record all enquiries to enable an error free booking to be made.
  • Relocation of staff from overseas and internally - liaise with GHD People Team regarding relocation allowances, arrange airfares, excess luggage, accommodation, meet & greet etc.
  • Sourcing of leased accommodation as required.
  • Facilitating approvals for Trave Requests.
  • Ensuring travellers have the necessary documentation, such as passports, visas etc. and are informed regarding travel insurance.
  • Liaise with airlines and service suppliers regarding waitlists, excess luggage, priority seating etc.
  • Coordinate travel for in house conferences and seminars including Annual Conference.
  • Negotiate group discounts for accommodation, transport, meals and equipment. Complete associated bookings and reconcile charges.
  • Arrange travel for Directors and other senior executives, including special seating, transfers etc.
  • Assist EAs/PAs with enquiries regarding certain aspects of travel for Directors and other senior executives.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Significant experience in the travel industry ideally gained from professional services or working across a multi-disciplined large organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, prioritise and work with various systems to gain positive outcomes for our internal employees and upcoming employees relocating.
  • Results orientated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A great team player.
