The Role You’ll Play:


As an Analytics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in supporting the data analytics requirements across Zepto.


Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be pivotal in unlocking value from our data warehouse. You will work closely with data engineers and internal analysts to ensure all data requirements and decisions can be served by our data platform. In this role, you will have a hands-on approach in working with a variety of internal departments to understand and support their data requirements.


You will have proven experience in building datasets and helping stakeholders leverage data. Your strong stakeholder interaction skills is your superpower and your ability to distil business requirements into best practice data models is second to none.


Working in a scale-up means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:


  • Interact with our Snowflake data warehouse and improving and creating marts/models in DBT
  • Extract and present data and insights using our BI tool (Omni Analytics)
  • Working in an ownership model where you are responsible for grooming deliverable, implementing technically and delivering to stakeholders
  • Assist stakeholders to define, clarify and document reporting and analytical requirements
  • Work closely with our data engineering team, but also integrate with cross-functional teams on key strategic data projects
  • Strong stakeholder interaction skills and the ability to communicate insights in a manner that aids and informs decision making
  • Ensure the accuracy of reported information and data quality
  • Learning and growth across a wide range of engineering and analysis skills


What You’ll Bring to the Table:


Our ideal candidate will have:


  • Extensive experience in querying data using SQL, experience with DBT is a plus
  • Interest and enthusiasm for the payments technology domain
  • Experience in using data driven analytics to develop dashboards, insights and recommendations
  • Experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Omni, Looker, Power BI, Tableau etc
  • Ability to construct complex queries and manage clean data sets
  • Passion for helping others understand data and gain insights
  • Robust analytical and problem solving aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to unlock value from data across the business.
  • Clear communication skills with an emphasis on breaking down complex data points
  • Motivation to grow and learn in a data and analytics environment which is fast growing
