Description
Amazon is looking for a Tax Manager to focus specifically on e-invoicing, e-reporting and related transaction controls/reporting. The role will report to the AWS Tax Director as part of the wider AWS VAT Advisory team, but will primarily be responsible for managing the design, roll-out and ongoing maintenance of these measures affecting all Amazon businesses in the region. E-invoicing/e-reporting models are proliferating around the globe and this is a great opportunity to be at the heart of this business-critical area for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
The role is based in Singapore. Regular travel to other locations is likely. Key responsibilities and activities include:
- Working with colleagues in VAT Policy and the central E-Invoicing Compliance (EIC) teams to monitor, track and evaluate legislative developments such as Malaysia's e-invoice, Singapore InvoiceNow and other similar country developments
- Analysing published law and guidance to draft comprehensive Tax Requirements Documents plus other briefing materials
- Liaising with partner teams such as Commerce Platform, Tax Engine, FinOps, Operations and Finance teams to assist with their execution of requirements
- Work with EIC team to assist with project management of e-invoicing implementation projects 5) From time to time, as capacity allows, to support on other areas of APAC VAT advisory work as required.
- Minimally 8 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in e-invoicing
- Experience in indirect tax
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Experience in e-invoicing implementation projects
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
