Our Client is a leading treasury management infrastructure provider, offering innovative solutions to financial institutions and large corporate enterprises. They are seeking a visionary Branding & PR Director to join their Leadership Team.

The Branding & PR Director will lead the development and execution of strategic branding and public relations initiatives to enhance and protect the Client's brand reputation. This role is critical in positioning the company at the forefront of its industry, driving brand awareness, and managing the public perception across various stakeholders. The Director will work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to align the branding and PR strategies with our Client's overall business goals.

The role is open to candidates in the UK, Europe or Nigeria ideally, someone familiar with or currently working within the pan-African region. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive branding and PR strategies that align with the company's overall strategic objectives.
  • Manage the creation of marketing and communication materials to ensure consistency with brand messaging.
  • Generate positive media coverage across various channels.
  • Build, manage and mentor a team as the organization expands.
  • Oversee the management of public relations issues and crisis communications, including developing strategies to address negative publicity promptly and mitigate potential negative impacts on the brand.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges in brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to integrate PR strategies with overall marketing campaigns and product launches.
  • Manage the PR and branding budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum impact.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the implemented strategies using metrics and analytics. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve desired results.
  • Prepare regular reports on the performance of PR campaigns and initiatives for the CEO and board members.
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, and public meetings.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience in a branding or public relations leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns and initiatives.
  • Experience working in North America, Europe and Africa.
  • Experience in branding and PR initiatives across the UK, USA, and Africa.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage crises effectively.
  • Deep understanding of media relations and digital media strategies.
