Job Description

Position: Vendor Coordinator

Department: Translations Operations

Reports to: Vendor Management Team Leader

LanguageLine’s UK operation is part of the worldwide LanguageLine Solutions group with global headquarters in California and European headquarters in London. Over its 40-year history, LanguageLine Solutions ensures the best interpreting and translation services available in the industry.

Main Job Purpose

To facilitate and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating rates, offering ongoing support, and finding the best available vendors.

Specific Tasks

  • Manage existing partnership with suppliers
  • Manage rate negotiations with existing and new suppliers to ensure services are purchased effectively and at competitive rates in support of year-on-year productivity improvements, operational cost reductions and business growth
  • Manage supplier performance and utilize this to track and drive performance, ensuring feedback is given and penalties imposed in line with current guidelines
  • Ensure supplier data held on the supplier portal is kept up to date
  • Source candidates who meet defined criteria to work with LanguageLine Solutions
  • Ensure that translators being entered into our onboarding process have the optimal combination of qualifications & experience
  • Ensure all linguist onboarding aligns with all corporate direction and policies
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that personal information is used fairly and lawfully within GDPR guidelines, report any personal data security incidents immediately and abide by the Information Security Policy detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Any other duties appropriate to the position.

Person Specification

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree, or similar, in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
