The Role You’ll Contribute
AH Coding Support Staff will work to maintain the flow of charges within the various coding Workqueues. Coding support staff will also assist with edits not requiring coding certification and act as project support to Project Manager for various projects to include, but not limited to reporting, tracking, and charge entry.
The Value You’ll Bring To The Team
- Responsible for reviewing and resolving assigned edits within the Coding Support Work queue.
- Responsible for reviewing and resolving assigned edits across various specialty Work queues.
- Track and trend edits and rules to identify educational opportunities and alert management.
- Perform data entry, as needed.
- Assist with claim edit and follow-up charges not requiring coding certification including but not limited to the review and correction of duplications, updating charge details to create clean claims, and identifying charges that continue to show up in the Work queues for resolution.
- Assist Project Manager in various projects.
- Assist with creating, maintaining, and distribution of reports and logs as assigned by Audit or Project Manager.
- Perform charge corrections on audit findings in a timely manner.
Knowledge And Skills Required
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively operate equipment such as PC, web/tele-conference.
- Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines.
- Critical Thinking to resolve problems on own.
- Follows workflows involving multiple steps accurately and timely.
- Demonstrates ability to create Excel spreadsheets, manipulate and run functions at an intermediate level.
- Demonstrates ability to create PowerPoints at an intermediate level.
- Demonstrates ability to use Microsoft Teams at an intermediate level, to include sharing screens, working audio and video as well as chat and accessing shared documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of office experience needed.
- Some college preferred.
- Previous experience on medical EMR systems
- Previous experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.

- Demonstrates knowledge and carries out standard operating procedures.
