We are hiring a Talent Sourcer, Data Analysis to join our Global Talent Acquisition team!

As a Talent Sourcer at Microsoft, you will leverage internal systems to identify, attract, screen, and hire top talent at scale. This role will focus on identifying novel methods of utilizing data within the applicant tracking system to create faster and better recruiting experiences for both hiring managers and candidates. You will develop effective data-driven sourcing strategies across both sales and engineering teams. Your focus will be on delivering top talent to the organization and ensuring that the talent pipeline is aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Microsoft’s strategic goals and collaborate with internal stakeholders (hiring managers and recruiting peers) to understand talent needs and develop sourcing strategies for high-volume hiring within the Americas Talent Acquisition organization.
  • Use data insights from the applicant tracking system to craft and execute dynamic sourcing strategies that address both immediate vacancies and build a pipeline of prospects for strategic growth across multiple domains.
  • Work within and across teams to ensure alignment in data sources, methods, models, analytical tools and processes, and business priorities to deliver key insights and results. Engage stakeholders to identify and act on opportunities to leverage resources, data sources, and solutions that were instrumental to success in similar contexts and consult across teams on decisions related to data sourcing, analyses, and the interpretation of analytical results.
  • Utilize automation tools and technologies to efficiently manage and process a large volume of candidates, ensuring a seamless and organized recruitment process.
  • Adhere to data privacy, responsible and ethical data handling, and classification and governance rules and regulations. Ensures data have undergone appropriate Corporate, Executive, and Legal Affairs (CELA) reviews and that work products are in alignment with principles and controls and seek further expertise on data privacy rules and regulations when needed.
  • Execute initial screening and assessing of candidates. Identify and gather information (e.g., ability to hire, relocation, compensation) to qualify talent pool.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year experience creating PowerBI (Power Business Intelligence) Dashboards
  • 2+ years experience creating queries and pulling data from applicant tracking systems (ATS) to discover and analyze trends and influence sourcing strategies
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR Master's Degree AND 3+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience solving quantitative or conceptual problems and situations to draw appropriate and valid conclusions from data presented. This includes analyzing data to determine the most significant elements, identify common elements and themes in situations and actions, and recognize cause and effect relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of various engineering roles in technology, including software engineering, hardware engineering, data centers, and/or security, with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates and assess their qualifications for these roles.
  • Proficient knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software tools.
  • Experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Science.
Talent Acquisition IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $66,900 - $135,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $89,600 - $148,200 per year.
