Hybrid IT Risk Manager en FirstRand

Job Description

To manage and administer IT Risk security policy and procedures ensuring preventive and recovery strategies and minimizing all security threats.

• Are you someone who has an interest / experience in:

• Liaise with Legal, Risk and Compliance teams and committees to communicate, escalate and obtain sign-off forms on risk and process matters
• Identify, assess and take necessary steps to manage risk to an acceptable level
• Ensure adherence to relevant statutory requirements
• Ensure adhere to FirstRand Group procedures and audit requirements
• Review and monitor architecture, processes and controls against international best practise requirements
• Document risks and controls in accordance with FirstRand standards and frameworks
• Ensure appropriate levels of management and accountability
• Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
•  Stay relevant and up to date with legislations and new developments
• Plan and manage own workflow anticipating obstacles juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time frames and according to quality standards
• Excellent: written and spoken communications skills
• Act in an ethical transparent and morally defensible manner including highlighting unethical practices
• Share debate and communicate learnings
• Flag and debate issues in particular issues that increase risk constructively
• Promote a friendly cooperative climate
• Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
• Handle stress in ways that do not negatively impact others

• You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• Relevant Bachelor degree
• CISA would be advantageous
• + 7 years  working experience
• Banking experience would be advantageous
