Description
Job Title: UI Architect
Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Senior
V4C.ai is seeking an experienced UI Architect to lead the design and development of user interfaces for our innovative applications. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences while ensuring a consistent and high-quality design across our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and developers, to define and implement best practices and standards for UI development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, user-friendly UI architectures for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality, responsive interfaces.
- Establish and maintain design standards, style guides, and best practices for front-end development.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to front-end developers on UI frameworks and technologies.
- Review and optimize application performance, accessibility, and usability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends and technologies, and incorporate them into our products.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Requirements
A UI Architect defines the technical direction and structure of an application's user interface, ensuring it is scalable, high-performing, and aligns with business and user needs. This unique role requires expertise in front-end development using React and the ability to integrate seamlessly with Python back-end systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of the overall front-end architecture, creating technical specifications and detailed documentation.
- Standard Setting: Define and enforce UI coding standards, best practices, and design patterns (e.g., component-based architecture) across development teams.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and skill development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and back-end developers, to translate requirements into functional, cohesive user experiences. This includes defining API contracts between the React front end and Python back end.
- Performance & Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for maximum speed, scalability, security, and cross-browser compatibility across various devices and platforms.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes, developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure the tech stack meets the latest industry standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in front-end development and a proven track record in an architectural or lead role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep expertise in the React framework, including state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and front-end component libraries.
- Strong proficiency in core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (with pre-processors like SASS), and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Python back-end frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) for integration purposes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs/GraphQL, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines) and responsive design principles.
