Description
The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.
We are seeking an analytical and aviation-focused Senior Planning Data Analyst (Engineer II) to support LAWA’s Planning & Design Division. This role supports airside and terminal operational planning by analyzing aviation data, running simulations, and recommending improvements to airport efficiency, capacity, and passenger flow.
Salary Range: $150K/Year-$165K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
You will serve as a technical resource supporting airport operational planning across airside and terminal functions.
Data & Analysis
- Analyze historic and future flight schedules
- Conduct gate/stand allocation analysis
- Perform queueing analysis for passenger processing
- Analyze TSA, CBP, baggage handling, and space utilization data
- Conduct airfield and gate monitoring analysis (Aerobahn)
Modeling & Simulation
- Develop and review simulation models (CAST, Simio)
- Conduct operational capacity studies
- Model impacts of construction, policy changes, or safety updates
- Review modeling assumptions and methodologies
Operational Planning Support
- Review conceptual layouts and operational functionality
- Provide space allocation improvement recommendations
- Coordinate with operations, commercial, and maintenance teams
- Develop reports and presentations for airport leadership
Requirements
Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in:
- Airport planning
- Aviation operations
- Simulation and modeling
- Data analytics
- Experience with aircraft gate/stand allocation required
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / MS 365
- Experience with CAST (gate allocation)
- Experience with Simio or similar simulation software
- Strong Excel modeling skills
- Preferred: Python, R, SAS, PowerBI, Tableau, GIS
- Preferred: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM familiarity
Education
- Degree in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Transportation Planning
- Aviation
- Architecture
- Operations Research
- Or related technical field
