Redi Rock Loader Operator & Laborer

Who you are:

The Redi-Rock Loader Operator & Laborer is responsible for all accurate stocking of inventory in the yard. Responsibilities include making sure the correct Redi-Rock product is loaded on each tractor trailer for delivery based upon the ticket. This position also coordinates all activity in the stock yard. The Redi-Rock Loader Operator & Laborer and the Redi-Rock Production Foreman and the Redi-Rock Division Manager work closely together daily to ensure complete customer satisfaction and quality.

Loader Operator Duties:

1. Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader with forks to load Redi-Rock product for delivery.
2. Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader with forks to stock inventory in the yard.
3. Fully understand and follow the company's philosophy as it pertains to customers
4. Ensure contracted and company owned trucks are loaded with accurate product for delivery
5. Act in a courteous and professional manner to all customers including third party
6. Complete all maintenance on plant for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned plant including Plant/Yard inspections and maintenance (as per the Plant Maintenance Schedule)
7. Maintain concrete block forms and surrounding area.  Pour, strip and stockpile blocks in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
8. Keep all yard and plant areas neat, orderly, and as safe as possible at all times
9. Snow plowing, removal, and sanding of areas (if necessary)
10. Perform daily pre-trip inspections
11. Perform weekly grease (more frequently when needed)
12. Ensure that equipment is always kept clean inside and out

Redi-Rock Laborer Duties:

1. Maintain concrete block forms (structurally)
2. Strip, clean, oil and close forms
3. Stack blocks for loader operator, stack in yard if needed
4. Clean plant daily, sweep, keep area tidy and safe, power wash as needed
5. Vibrate concrete forms with 20lb. backpack vibrator
6. Maintain stockpile of rebar hooks or loops for blocks
7. Maintain a positive attitude towards work and the team
8. Maintain and clean kitchen area daily
9. Follows appropriate environmental rules and regulations

Desired Qualifications

Education: High School Education or equivalent

Skills:

1. Must be dependable, a team player and be safety conscious 
2. Must be able to deal professionally with plant employees and other drivers  
3. Common sense and good judgement and willingness to work 
4. Excellent defensive driving skills
5. Advanced knowledge of equipment, plant and truck operations
6. Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience:

1. Previous experience as a Redi-Rock Laborer to understand the block type and product is helpful
2. Previous experience operating equipment including a front-end loader with forks

Licenses and Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License

Restrictions: 

1. Must be able to maneuver in and out of equipment safely 
2. Must be able to lift or maneuver up to 75lbs. multiple times throughout the workday
3. Must inspect all areas of equipment and plant, daily
4. Must perform plant maintenance 
5. Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure
6. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary
7. Perform multiple tasks of sustained viewing activity at rear of loader utilizing mirrors while driving and manipulating controls

Schedule: We guarantee 40 hours all year round!  Voluntary layoff accepted. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary.  Some Saturday work required
