Descartes is a leading player in supporting logistical processes for our customers. We work with major clients and manage millions of shipments each year—chances are, we've facilitated the transport of products you use every day.

For one of our teams we are looking for an experienced backend developer for the modernization of our application that we offer as a SAAS solution. You will assist in the migration of some of our primary systems to a .NET based application architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with an international team spread across multiple countries
• Develop and maintain backend solutions primarily using .NET
• Support our customers in optimizing their logistical processes
• Engage with a complex product that involves various applications in different programming languages
• Migrate a legacy code base (XBase++) to a new .NET architecture
• Help set up the application with the new .NET architecture
• Migrate data from DBF tables to SQL Server architecture

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with .NET
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment
• Willingness to read and understand different programming languages to assess the functionality of the legacy system
• Familiarity or experience with the code base (XBase++)
• Native Dutch speaker

This is a remote opportunity for Dutch speaking applicants.
