As the P&C Manager for Acacia Prison, you’ll play a critical role in enabling our Justice contract to succeed through strong, strategic HR leadership. Working closely with prison management and senior stakeholders, you’ll act as a trusted advisor—providing guidance on complex matters, influencing workforce strategy, and ensuring a safe, fair, and engaging workplace for all staff. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently in a fast-paced, unionised environment where relationship-building and resilience are key.
As a P&C Manager in the Acacia team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
Managing complex employee relations and high-risk investigations
Interpreting and negotiating Enterprise Agreements in unionised settings
Providing expert advice on workplace legislation and Fair Work matters
Shaping local people strategies that support culture and operational needs
Partnering with leaders to drive workforce planning and succession initiatives
Leading on-site delivery of cyclical HR activities and people programs

Your ideal skills & experience:
Extensive HR experience in complex, industrially sensitive environments
Proven capability in managing Tier 3–4 investigations and union interactions
Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and enterprise bargaining processes
Confidence in working independently and making strategic HR decisions
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field
A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to Acacia Prison in Wooroloo daily
