Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Wealth Management’s Toronto-based Portfolio Advisory Group (“PAG”) is a team of roughly 30 professionals that is responsible for providing independent investment advice and guidance to the nearly 2,000 investment advisors working under the RBC Dominion Securities (“RBC DS”) banner in Canada.  As a Fixed Income Portfolio Advisor in PAG you will have the opportunity to work from the center of the Canadian fixed income world on the RBC trade floor at 200 Bay. In a highly visible role you are looked to as a fixed income specialist, offering objective opinions on markets, macroeconomic developments, asset allocation, and specific investments. A key component of the role involves writing and communicating ideas on these subjects, as well as completing portfolio reviews and assisting in the development of portfolio proposals and new business pitches.  Although domestically focused, the position will offer you exposure to US and international fixed income securities as well.

The ideal candidate would have experience in strategy, communication and research, combined with a strong interest in markets, macroeconomics, and fixed income. This candidate would possess an analytical mind, intellectual curiosity, a team-first attitude, exceptional communications skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
