Job Summary:

Produce machined parts through setting up and operation of CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards as well as making program improvements and repairing machines. 

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate CNC vertical mills and 4 axis live tooling lathes
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and job orders
• Load and unload parts
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance
• Make program improvement and repair machines
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions
• Maintain a neat work area
• Enforcing all safety practices
• Other machinist or CNC operator duties as needed

Requirements

Skills:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, or various measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Possesses high quality standards and a commitment to excellence
• Must be able to work well independently and as a team
• Must be self-starter able to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Must possess a sense of urgency and accountability

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of machining experience in manufacturing environment required
• Lead or supervisor experience a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Detail:

• Full time with benefit
• Swing shift 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM Monday through Thursday
• Wage DOE (plus shift differential)

Essential Functions:

• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) , including protective toe footwear, when required
• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
• Lifting 20-50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and occasionally more than 50 pounds
• Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
