As an AI Agent Development Intern, you will play a key role in supporting senior business stakeholders and the engineering team in the design and development of intelligent agents. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conducting research, building and testing AI agents, and contributing to the implementation strategy for agentic cybersecurity programs. As part of your professional development, you'll focus on learning and applying best practices in AI engineering while delivering high-quality work in line with the risk3sixty way. You will work closely with various stakeholders to gain hands-on experience and help ensure the successful delivery of AI-driven solutions.
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Conduct research on high impact use cases for agentic AI in cybersecurity programs
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of AI agents
- Support the integration of AI agents into various environments, tools, and internal platforms
- Collaborate cross functionally with the engineering team to gather requirements and translate them into technical implementations
- Participate in agent reviews, team stand-ups, and project planning sessions
- Analyze model performance, run experiments, and assist in tuning models to improve agent behavior
- Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge-sharing efforts
- Continuously learn and apply emerging AI technologies in support of real-world use cases
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Actively pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of machine learning core concepts (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement)
- Basic proficiency in Python or other programming languages
- Familiarity with core agentic AI principles (e.g., autonomous decision-making, reasoning and planning, memory management), and act using large language models (LLMs) or similar tools
- Experience working with APIs, JSON or data processing for AI Tasks
- High level of analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with ability to collaborate cross functionally and contribute to technical documentation and findings
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt quickly
- Strong interest in AI agent development and a demonstrated willingness to do the hard work required to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Bonus
- Familiarity with at least one AI/ML framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
- Prior direct information security exposure preferred in one of the following domains:
- Governance (e.g., policy development, reporting to senior management)
- Risk Management (e.g., risk identification, treatment, and project management)
- Compliance (e.g., supporting operation of controls, internal audits, external audits)
- Prior projects designing AI agents
- Consulting/client facing experience
- Exposure to internal/external audits
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
