Customer Service Representative Job Description

PrimeSource Building Products Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, has an immediate opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist, in support for PrimeSource's Inside Sales Department.

This Customer Service Specialist role will provide the admin support for PrimeSource Inside Sales function. Some responsibilities include the following:

  • Enters bulk of sales teams will call and warehouse orders ensuring 99.9% order accuracy
  • Enters RMA’s into system and coordinates with ops to determine if return is necessary
  • Enters Credits into system and coordinates with ops to determine if credit is warranted
  • Handles Home Depot and Lowes calls and coordinates with ops when necessary
  • Coordinates BMG orders with Territory Managers and BMG support team
  • Assists will call customers find the will call office to pick up orders
  • Acts as phone tree back up for sales team handling overflow calls and customer service calls
  • Supports product literature and marketing materials to the customer and sales team
  • Responsible for communicating route code changes to sales team and coordinating with ops on missing route codes on customer file
  • Supports the Inside and Outside Sales Teams with urgency
  • Responsible for utilization of salesforce.com to document calls and any other customer interaction or leads
  • Completes daily work tasks diligently and efficiently
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values and goals

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years of sales or telemarketing experience preferred/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong PC skills including Windows, MS office suite
  • CRM Systems
  • Company Reporting Software
  • SAP preferred
  • Proficient with SAP and SalesForce.com to ensure order accuracy and fast customer response times.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Excellent verbal, written communication
