Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic professional to join our team as a Credit Counselor. In this role, you will assist members in managing debt through personalized financial counseling while also handling collections activities to recover outstanding payments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of credit and collections practices.
Work Location:
This remote position is open to candidates who currently reside in the state of New Mexico only. Applicants that reside in the Santa Fe or Espanola areas may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Applicants outside of these local areas may be considered for fully remote work.

Level I:
The pay range for this position is $19.32 to $24.15. New hires typically brought into the organization at a rate between the range minimum and the range maximum, depending on the qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.
Level II:
The pay range for this position is $21.52 to $26.90. New hires typically brought into the organization at a rate between the range minimum and the range maximum, depending on the qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.

Experience:
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
