Position Summary


A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for a position on our Trading team located in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Vice President, Cotton Trading. 


Position Responsibilities

  • Receive orders from Cash traders across the world and place the orders as instructed, with proper tags.
  • Update orders as per the requirement of the traders.
  • Apply discretion and watch the market activity to get the best fills.
  • Record and upload all the trades done during the day into proprietary position managements systems.
  • Prepare daily reports showing the execution done, pending orders, and end of day positions across all the books.
  • Prepare regulatory and compliance reports.
  • Prepare and analyze the cotton risk and position reports for Olam Agri’s Cotton Americas business units. 
  • Liaise with the Global Middle Office to resolve trade discrepancies.
  • Collect and collate data from various sources and formats.
  • Prepare reports for dissemination to Global Trading Team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic programming ability (Python, Data Scraping) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively and honestly with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team across many geographies.
  • Ability to work under pressure without losing focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One (1) year of work experience preferably in a trade execution or hedging role within a hedge fund or trade house.
