Busy Bees at Redlynch  is a busy 140-place service located in beautiful sunny Cairns. Conveniently located near Redlynch Connection Road, the service is a hop, skip and a jump away from Redlynch Central Sports Stadium. Our Redlynch childcare is nestled between some amazing scenery, and you can even see the Kuranda Scenic Railway from our foyer as the train makes its way up the mountain. 

Our Hive is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who is creative, passionate and dedicated, someone who fosters a love for learning and creating wonderful learning journeys for the children. Contract type: Permanent Part time Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) 30 hours per week.
Location: Redlynch, QLD, Australia

Salary:  41.83 - 53.83

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification as recognized by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

  • A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.

  • First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to deliver high-quality education programs.

  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate educational programs tailored to individual children's needs and interests.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with children, families and colleagues.

  • Skill in observing children’s progress, documenting their learning and using this information to guide future planning.

  • Ability to work effectively with other educators, support staff and families to create an inclusive, responsive, and respectful learning environment.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Prior experience in teaching in an early childhood settings.

  • Ensuring an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, can thrive.

  • Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.

  • Engagement in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest educational trends and practices.

  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools used for children’s documentation and parent communication.
