POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Quality Control Technician I, based in Reamstown, PA. The Quality Control Technician I is responsible for improving internal and external customer experience through supplier product monitoring, inspection process improvements, and recording/analyzing returned goods and internal/external scrap generation. 

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $24/hr. - $28/hr. plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop inspection plans/control plans
• Execute PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process) for new parts
• Collect/Analyze data and populate weekly/monthly quality reports
• Support investigation/corrective actions/root cause analysis efforts on internal and external quality issues
• Conduct inspection on incoming material
• Process RGAs (Returns Goods) and reduce waste through RGA and scrap reduction programs

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years’ Experience working in Quality Assurance 
• Experience with reading blueprint and GD&T 
• Experience working with ISO 9000 and 14000 standards 
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal 
• Ability to multi-task
