This role will report to the embecta Director, IT Global Corporate Solutions and will be part of the embecta’s IT Solutions Delivery Team.

This role can sit remote anywhere in the U.S.

In this position, the Senior Manager business partner will work closely with global business stakeholders, audit, cross functional and IT support teams. The responsibilities of this role will be split into support of 3 key areas:
o    SAP IT Audit Finance & Procurement
o    SAP S/4 HANA Costing & Finance
o    SAP Ariba Procurement processes (Nice to have, will be trained on the job)

SAP IT Audit Finance & Procurement Controls

• Owns SAP IT general controls for finance and procurement & delivers audit artifacts
• Lead periodic reviews of internal/external SAP IT Finance & Procurement audits
• Document control deficiencies, recommend corrective actions to mitigate future risks
• Enhance operating effectiveness of embecta’s SAP IT Finance controls
• Lead discussions with auditors, provide testing evidence of configured SAP automated process controls, workflows, and data integrity controls.
• Obtain IT supplier’s Service Organization Controls Audit (SOC1 & SOC2) reports
• Support business team on OneSource, VAT, Intrastat, Sunshine Act, Transparency audit reports etc.

SAP S/4 HANA Costing & Finance

• Experience as a lead of product costing and SAP implementation in a medical device / life sciences or manufacturing industry
• Accountable for design, implementation and support of product costing, CO-PA, material ledger, actual costing, PPV analysis reporting and integration with MM & PP
• Hands-on knowledge to support the annual standard and ad hoc cost estimates, additive costs and other costing related activities
• Provide support related to production order settlements, WIP, variance calculation, cost center planning, loading budgets, activity rates/price, creating activity types, and new planning layouts as necessary
• Thorough understanding of Intercompany billing, pricing, reconciliation, ICMR & profit eliminations process
• Accountable for process improvements, design & implementation for multiple regions i.e. North America, EMEA, LATAM, ASIA & Greater China
• Experience with FI-GL, AR, AP, AA, PS, Banking
• Supports period end close process and global consolidations
• Willing to cross train in e-invoicing & statutory reporting processes in SAP Document, Reporting & Compliance (DRC)

SAP Ariba Source to Pay (SLP, B&I, Contracts & Sourcing) – Nice to have, will be trained

• Thorough understanding of functional end to end procure to pay process
• Ability to learn Ariba, adapt to new applications, tools and processes
  • SLP questionnaire and template maintenance
  • Ariba Buying & Invoicing
  • Approval flows
• E-invoicing & XML integration with Ariba business network for various countries.
• Understanding of SLP integrations with S/4 MDG and OneSource tax engine
• Ability to train & support the users on Ariba standard out of the box reports
• Monitor batch jobs / pay loads and ensure master data is always in sync with S/4

Other responsibilities for this role include:

• Application & help desk tickets monitoring
• Validation documentation & training support
• SAP S/4 or Ariba version upgrades, patches, and integration of new bolt-On’s
• Business continuity testing

Key Year 1-2 Objectives:

• Comply with SOX, maintain and sustain finance and procurement related audit processes
• Simplify, standardize and automate SAP Product costing and finance processes
• Support AP automation and new OCR tool for touchless invoice processing
• Collect global pain points, prepare a roadmap, and deliver solutions as per the timeline
• Build business case to deploy RPA, AI/Generative AI and finance data visualization capabilities
• This role will have 10-15% domestic/international travel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
• Hands-on functional configuration and design experience with SAP Finance/Controlling modules in these areas: system settings for controlling, cost center accounting, product costing, cost object controlling, creating & maintaining cost estimates for materials, activities & processes, product cost and variance analysis, material ledger and actual costing
• 8+ years of experience in IT systems & ERP

Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $137,100 - $181,650 (subject to variation depending on physical location).
