The Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining an infrastructure of employment/job placement services, working to prepare students with skills necessary for job search, internship, and employment placement with regional business partners.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BA/BS required; Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the job placement-field.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license, private transportation and ability to work a varied schedule, including the ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings as necessary. Must be able to load, carry, and transport instructional materials and equipment necessary for student learning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission and practices an open door policy; possesses a strong understanding of the uses of information technology to deliver, monitor and evaluate programs and services for students and the ability to work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College; proficiency with staffing and customer relationship management software and various databases such as Colleague and Salesforce.com. Strong knowledge of Microsoft/Google Suite. Working knowledge of Constant Contact and student registration programs/Colleague is beneficial. Exhibits strong skills in:
Manages the following direct reports and oversees the employee populations of their respective organizations: supportive personnel as assigned. Coordinates work within the office and between offices with other staff. Ability to relate well to people at all levels within the institution to ensure that the office is projected in an effective manner that furthers the College’s mission and values.
Continuance of position is dependent upon the positive employment and career progression of participants and accurate and timely reporting and communication with the local and regional workforce system.
