Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively with departments throughout Hawx to provide critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse datasets and build impactful reporting - empowering leadership to evaluate solutions to our business challenges and capitalize on opportunities. While the core focus will be data analysis, this position will also offer exposure and opportunities to develop skills in data engineering, data architecture, and/or data science, making it an ideal position for someone looking to grow their career in a multi-faceted data domain.

- $70,000 - $90,000
- Hybrid work location (Ogden, UT) / work from home
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets) to visualize and monitor key performance indicators.
- Digest, synthesize, manipulate and validate large sets of data from multiple sources into a clear, concise summary or required data elements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, finance, and customer solutions to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reporting. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development and optimization of data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. Support data quality initiatives and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and models.
- Contribute to the exploration and implementation of statistical models, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to address business challenges.
- Must be able to decisively execute while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to pivot quickly with changing requests and requirements.
- Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, data requirements and quality assurance metrics.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass required background check
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Business, Information Systems or related field / equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analysis or similar role
- 3+ years demonstrated ability of building and maintaining reporting and visualizations in a BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). LookML production experience a plus
- Highly skilled in spreadsheet-based analysis using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Proficiency in SQL and database query tools for data extraction and manipulation
- Basic understanding of data engineering principles and ETL/ELT processes
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with statistical concepts, data science techniques, AI/ML models
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and API scripting
- Exposure to cloud platforms and data warehousing
- Experience with a service-based company and related software systems data (e.g., phone systems, CRM, lead management, HR/payroll, fleet, etc.) and industry metrics (e.g., customer churn, LTV, employee utilization, routing efficiency)
