Administratvie Assistant/ Human Resources Support

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, to provide a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Superintendent and the corporation; the Administrative Assistant/Human Resource Support will provide high-level administrative and human resources support for the school corporation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in school secretarial duties, be proficient in computer applications, and possess a working knowledge of HR functions such as employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintaining personnel records.

Additional Duties
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Superintendent's office and school district operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in office administration or HR preferred.
Previous experience in a school setting or HR/administrative role strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HR/payroll software systems.
Knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and state reporting processes preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all personnel and student matters.
Self-starter who can work independently and take direction when needed.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualification Profile

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
High School Diploma or equivelant.
Degree or work experience in business, human resources, secretarial or administrative assistance.

Compensation

Starting at $18.00 per hour+, based on experience and qualifications. Includes eligibility for beneftis per school corporation policy
