Overview

The receiver is responsible for the safe, timely and accurate receipt of products ordered and placed in specific areas of the warehouse.  Warehouse receivers download packages and verify their content to make sure they match the orders by computerized tracking through the system

Responsibilities

PROVIDE JACKS AND PALLETS FOR THE DRIVER TO USE IN UNLOADING. GET AND COMPLETE ALL PRESCRIBED FORMS FOR RECEIVING. GIVE THE DRIVER WHO DELIVERED THE PROPER INFORMATION REGARDING TI-HI AND THE SIZE OF THE PALLET TO BE USED. OBSERVE THE DRIVER DURING UNLOADING TO ENSURE PROPER HANDLING AND STACKING OF ITEMS. CHECK FOR PROPER QUANTITY DELIVERED AND PUT THE SLOT STICKERS ON THE MERCHANDISE. INSPECT PRODUCT FOR SANITATION PURPOSES AND TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS. CHECK FOR PROPER PACK, SIZE, UPC, BAR-CODING, AND WEIGHTS. COMMUNICATE WITH BUYERS WHEN THE PRODUCT DOES NOT MATCH THE PURCHASE ORDER. MAY BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE LIFT. MAY BE REQUIRED TO DO OTHER TASKS AS NECESSARY AND A SELF-STARTER. MUST BE ABLE TO REACH, LIFT, AND STACK CASES RANGING IN WEIGHT FROM 1 TO 100 POUNDS. Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.

Qualifications

MUST PASS MATH TEST (ADDITION, SUBTRACTION, MULTIPLICATION, AND DIVISION).

 

MUST BE ABE ABLE TO READ AND WRITE.
